Courage, Creativity, Community

I’m Running for ALA President

I’m honored to be a candidate for President of the American Library Association 2026-2027.

This campaign isn’t just about leadership—it’s about modeling the kind of campaign I’ve always hoped to see. One rooted in transparency, humor, accountability, and hope. One that values the work we do and the people who do it and envisions ALA as the big team all of us in libraries share.

My vision is simple: I want to lead ALA in a way that reflects our highest aspirations—stronger libraries, respected workers, and a profession ready to meet the moment with courage, creativity, and care. That means centering equity, advocating fiercely, and lifting up our colleagues at every level.

It also means having more fun– here’s my official campaign playlist.

If you’re curious about how I think, lead, and show up, I hope you’ll take a listen or read (I’ll keep this updated):
